NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 2021

Hi Members

Lake Hume is full, full, full and we can see an awesome boating season ahead. Activities at the Club have been very subdued over the last two years, as it has been everywhere. We skipped last year’s AGM, so the Committee has served for the last two years and I would like to thank those members for their efforts.  In particular, Glen Lieschke for his tireless efforts maintaining our grounds and Pete Newman in his Treasurer’s role. We are very keen to have some new people join us to help take the Club forward.  We would love to see all members and interested residents of the local community join us at the AGM.

Our Club wishes to grow and broaden its membership to continue to meet the needs of our boating enthusiasts, and also those of the broader local community.  Over the years the Club has been utilised for community events and activities, including carols, dance classes, yoga, mother’s clubs, council and community meetings, weddings and other social activities. We have an extraordinary and beautifully located asset in the form of our Hall, that is well and truly underutilised.  We would love to see this shared by others in the community, not necessarily restricted to our boating fraternity. If you are interested in helping us grow this side of our Club, you are very welcome to attend our upcoming AGM.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS – DUE 1 NOVEMBER 2021

Club Membership renewals are now due and payable. Fob access keys unpaid at this date will be turned off. To maintain your electronic access to the gate and club hall please make payment before the due date.

Fees are unchanged at $120.00 for renewals. New or returning past members attract an additional $20.00 administration fee.  New Membership form is available under the Membership tab on the Hume Boat Club website. Second fob $50.00 PA
